Tim Bass

Tim has over 30 years of experience sourcing, structuring, and executing transactions. Tim established Hickory CRE Capital and Hickory CRE Lending in 2018, at the time he closed a transaction with a seed capital investor. 

Tim was a partner at DW Partners and co-head of commercial real estate until April 2018.  There he spearheaded the growth of private credit businesses, including creating a CRE lending business and originated ~$500mm of loans. He also built a European CRE Platform with the acquisition of 43 buildings for ~€500mm. 

Previously, Tim spent four years at Barclays Capital, in credit trading; two years at Pardus Capital, a credit hedge fund; and nine years at Debevoise & Plimpton, as a deal lawyer. Tim started his career at Chemical Bank, where he went through credit training.

Tim has a JD and an MBA from The University of Chicago and a BA from Yale University; he also received the CFA designation.

Marc Baecht

Marc has over 10 years of experience in finance and the mortgage industry, with a deep understanding of capital markets, interest-rate derivatives, and mortgage-backed securities. He has a strong financial background and proven success building financial models and creating controls for risk management. 

Prior to joining Hickory CRE Lending in 2019, Marc spent five years at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he developed and implemented a new P&L attribution framework for the US Rates business. At RBS, Marc created new processes used to analyze risk-based P&L attribution on interest-derivatives, options, and exchange-traded futures. Prior to RBS, he started his career at Fannie Mae in the Capital Markets department focusing on mark-to-market pricing of Fannie Mae debt. 

Marc has an MSRE from Fordham University and a BBA in Finance with a minor in Economics from James Madison University.

Ryan Cosentino

Ryan has over 12 years of experience in the finance and capital markets industry. He began his career as a credit trader focused on High Yield/Distressed bonds. He then moved to a Hedge Fund as the Head Trader focusing on global equities and volatility. 

He joined BlackRock in 2013 as a Capital Markets specialist covering Family Offices, RIA’s, and Hedge Funds. Then as the Institutional Sales Director for a futures-based Asset Manager, he offered customized portfolio solutions to those same investor groups.

Ryan founded South Cove Capital Group which is a Commercial Real Estate investment company seeking to acquire and redevelop Multifamily and Mixed-Use properties across several major markets in the Southeast.

Ryan has a BBA in Business Management and Finance from Hofstra University, and is a CAIA Level 2 candidate.

DavID Hogan

David has over 20 years of experience in finance and capital markets.  He started his career as credit analyst and then a commercial banker at Southwest Bank in St. Louis.  He then moved into technology and managed a client service group in Asia for Bridge Information Services and Reuters, living in Singapore and Hong Kong for 6 years.  

He returned to NYC and was a Director at  Deutsche Bank in equity sales, special situations (MBS short hedging), and private placements covering hedge funds, family offices and endowments for 11 years. He spent three years at Alex. Brown before joining Hickory CRE Lending in September of 2019.

David has an MBA from the Booth School of Business, a CRE Analysis certificate from MIT’s SAP, and a BA from Trinity University.

Andrew Mancini

Andrew has over 10 years in CRE and capital markets experience originating, structuring, and underwriting over $2 billion of commercial mortgage, pref. equity, and mezz loans. He built a track record in developing deal flow and structuring transactions. His specialties include CMBS, loan workouts/restructurings, and construction lending.

Andrew founded a consulting firm which assessed credit risk and negotiated pricing on behalf of B-Note investors. His focuses include modeling notes backed by core, core+, value add, and opportunistic collateral. 

Previously, Andrew rated new CMBS pools as a ratings analyst for Moody’s Investors Service; sourced new deal flow for SL Capital (CCRE); and underwrote new conduit loans for MC-Five Mile. He started his career at Barclays, where he facilitated structured products trade execution. 

Andrew has an MSRE from Fordham University and a BS in Finance from Seton Hall University. 

Anna Stewart

Anna has been involved in real estate and capital markets for over 30 years. She has broad experience in both fixed income and equity markets. She started her career as a real estate analyst for Prudential where she learned to value all types of commercial real estate. 

After business school, she rejoined Prudential in its investment banking division. She spent two years in the Public Finance department working on public-private partnerships and sports facility financings. She then moved into the Real Estate and Structured Product group. She initially focused on CMBS and then transitioned to M&A with a focus on real estate lenders. In 2004, Anna joined Beekman Advisors, a boutique M&A firm that focused on advising DUS lenders. Since 2008, she has consulted for various real estate companies, providing analytic support on M&A transactions, new business product lines and financing alternatives. She joined Hickory CRE Lending in 2019.

Anna has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from Southern Methodist University.

Jonathan Weerts

Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in real estate investment across all major product types.  He began his career at Compass Properties as Acquisitions and Development manager. From there, Jonathan spent many years in the consulting industry, performing debt and equity underwriting, due diligence, analysis and research for Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, and numerous other financial institutions.

Most recently, he was Senior Vice President for Hudson Advisors, the asset management arm of Lone Star Funds.  At Hudson, Jonathan was one of the lead underwriters for the Lone Star Real Estate Funds, which purchased performing and non-performing loans and value add CRE portfolios.

Jonathan earned a BBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics.
